believe in people. Over the years, 22 people have retired from Arcade
after having been with our company for 20 years or more. Currently,
we have a sales associate and a warehouse manager who have both
been with Arcade more than 30 years and one of our installers just
celebrated his 25th anniversary. Most of the remainder of
our employees have been with us 8-15 years.

Carpet One - A Co-Op for the Future
Did you know Carpet One is a Co-Op? Probably not.
Most Americans do not give a lot of thought to Co-Ops.
Lots of us aren't exactly sure what a Co-Op is and that
is understandable. Schools teach about business structures
such as Corporations, LLC's, Partnerships, and Individual
Proprietorships but tend to gloss over Co-Ops with maybe
a paragraph or two.
Briefly, a Cooperative is a group of similar businesses
that are independently and locally owned, frequently
family owned and managed, that band together for the
purpose of reducing costs of operation and products.
In turn, these reduced costs allow these smaller businesses
to compete with larger national corporations, yet provide
the consumer with the services of a Mom and Pop operation.
But it doesn't end there. These local businesses are
part of your community. They hire your
friends, relatives, and neighbors. And the profit these
businesses make is plowed back into your community,
not shuffled off to the home offices of the large corporations
in Chicago or New York, etc.
Politicians like to ask, "Are you better off than you
were four years ago?" Well, are you? Most of us would
say "no". Obviously what government and big business
is doing isn't working. Maybe there is a better way.
2012 is the International Year
of the Co-op. Take a few minutes to view this
video. We think it is an eye opener. If you agree, be
our guest and share it with as many forward thinking
friends as you would like. It is on Youtube,
Facebook
and Twitter.

You
Have a Choice! In recent years, the retail flooring
industry has become extremely polarized. On one end are the large home centers
and the large shop at home companies that saturate your TV screens with incredible
installation offers. Most of those offers sound too good to be true and you know
what they say about things that sound too good to be true. Even the most sophisticated
consumer has to be impressed by the offers…Buy one room, get another room free;
Buy two rooms and get your whole house free. Click

Mission
Statement
Our
mission is to provide our customers with the best products, the best prices, professional
installation and customer service that surpasses our competition and exceeds our
customers’ expectations. The Carpet One Story
Carpet One is a cooperative of more than 1000 flooring
retailers nationwide. Only the very best retailers are selected
for membership in Carpet One. We purchase as a group and we market
as a group. As the largest flooring retail group in the world, our
buyers can negotiate the best prices and the best warranties from our
manufacturers. In fact, Carpet One warranties, which are backed
by the manufacturers, actually exceed the warranties manufacturers offer
on their own products. Because of our size, many of our products
are made exclusively for Carpet One. What is really unique about
Carpet One is that despite our size, each store is locally owned and operated,
many family owned and operated. You have the benefits achieved through
size but the service and caring of a neighbor. In addition to the
stores in the United States, there are Carpet One stores in Canada, Australia,
and New Zealand. During 2010, Carpet One is celebrating its 25th Anniversary.

Only
Carpet One can offer the powerful Beautiful Guarantee.
Our number one commitment to you is that you will be happy with the floor
you purchase from us and if you are not, we’ll replace it – FREE.
It’s that simple. It’s that strong. Period! |
